Very Clean! Friendly and laid back. Peaceful and rural setting. Wineries, produce and the sea in close proximity. Definitely one for the Grey Nomad brigade.
Small quietand spotless caravan park. Caretaker is very helpful
This would be one of the best caravan parks we have stayed at. The amenities were so clean at all times and the camp kitchen was set up as a friendly and homely atmosphere with sitting area for eating. Pizza oven, microwave fridge and BBQ were extremely clean. Outdoor blinds for various weather conditions. The owners are dedicated and very proud of their park. All colors of Proteas are growing all around with lovely gardens. Mt. Compass is close to McLaren Vale and surrounding areas for visitors and also Victor Harbor not far away.
We loved our back-to-basics getaway here - though we have two young kids we actually liked that there's no jumping pillow or playground here - it made for a much more chilled vibe! As a bonus the camp kitchen is really well set up. The owners are super nice and friendly. Hope to be back one day! One thing I should note - the park's website mentions an adjacent forest which we had hoped to explore, but it turned out to be private property owned by someone else.
